photo_The 1st Olympic Management Seminar

  We implemented the 1st Olympic Management Seminar as NIFS International Sport Academy for 2 weeks from 2nd to 14th March. Young researchers and top athletes from 6 Asian countries participated. Lecturers who were conversant with Olympic education or sports management came from overseas and other universities and organizations in Japan. They presented their lectures in English. This seminar was designed to provide basic theory of Olympic Education, applied Sports Management, Budo and practical experiments of sports science that are conducted at NIFS. The students participated in excursions to experience cultural programs in cooperation with the Kagoshima prefecture government.

  The 1st Symposium was held on 7th March as a tribute to implement the 1st Olympic Management seminar. The theme of the Symposium was “What is Olympic Legacy: Toward the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo”. Five special guest speakers talked about Olympic Legacy as members of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Paralympic Bid Committee, professionals of sports development, top coaching, etc… This Symposium was a good opportunity for the audience to become familiar with the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
