The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
Project development supports the concept for the International Sport Academy

    In cooperation with invited officials from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and related authorities from around the globe, NIFISA aims to promote research in sports medicine and the spread of Olympism through the acceptance and training of individuals on the verge of becoming the core of the next-generation international sporting world, and the creation of a foundation for a network that bridges the physical education and sports systems of Japanese universities with those of the international community.

Type A

The International Sport Academy and graduate school Master's degree program were established with the aim of fostering human resources in the field of international sport through the development and provision of educational programming promoting and appreciation for the value of sport and the significance of advancing the Olympic Movement.

Type B

Together with the implementation of a short-term program which capitalizes on the attributes of the university, the Type B program works in cooperation with the commissioned university heading the Type A program in the development and provision of educational programming as part of the established network.
